This morning we took the cats with us on a 2.5 hour voyage. First we picked up microwave nearby on craigslist. On our way to the park we saw balloons for Petsmart’s grand opening, and we needed food and litter anyway. Everyone was shocked and amazed to see two cats prancing around petsmart on leashes. It was a little overwhelming for them because the aisles were packed with dogs and clowns. We stocked up on free promotional cat toys and even got our picture taken in front of a backdrop. Ajax was excellent on his leash even though this is only his second trip.

After subjecting the cats to the linoleum hysteria, it was time for the cats to relax and enjoy nature at the park. Ajax started panting, which I thought was strange because Mitsy has much longer hair and a black coat and didn’t pant.

Somehow my iPhone managed to mangle this jpeg to hell. I've never experienced an issue with the camera app, so this is really strange.
The trip was a success. The cat’s didn’t get along very well before, but after this exciting trip they bonded and snuggled together in the car on the way home. Look at them sleeping together on the same bed.

Command-Shift-3
The Spacebar
Now, when you hold down the spacebar, you can move your current selection around the screen.
Option
If you hold down the option key, rather than resizing from the original corner to where the cursor is, the selection will resize from the center-out.
Shift
Holding down the shift key has a very nice effect when taking pinpoint screenshots. After you press-n-hold the shift key, the selection rectangle’s x or y axis will lock depending upon which way you move the cursor next. (So, if you hold shift, then move the cursor to the right, the y axis will say the same height.)
Option and Shift
You can combine both the option function and the shift to lock one axis while expanding the other from the center.
Space and Shift
You can also combine the space key with the shift key to move the selection along one axis without accidently moving it along the other.
Summary
Cmd-Shift-3: Take a full screen screenshot.
Cmd-Shift-4: Drag Selection
Option: Resize selection from center.
Shift: Lock one of the selection’s axis.
Space: Move the selection around the screen.
Cmd-Shift-4 + Spacebar: Window Selection
You can add option to any of the original key-combos (cmd-shift-option-#) to save the screenshot to your clipboard instead of the dekstop.

Face First Sleeping

ThinkPad X61s, ThinkPad T40, 24″ iMac with secondary 20″ Dell LCD, MacBook.
I just received my litter kwitter, which is supposed to be a very good cat toilet training system. The first step is to get the cats used to going in the litter kwitter instead of their normal litter box. The litter box previously occupied the same spot next to the toilet so the cats are already used to doing their business in there. After a few days I will insert it inside the toilet and the real fun begins.

Ajax had his first walk today. Mitsy explored a hollow tree trunk cove.
