Watchmen, the most award-winningest graphic novel of all time has been translated into what looks to be an awesome movie.  Early reviews say the movie is very faithful to the book, which is pretty evident just from what they show in the trailer.
I’m almost done with my second read of the book. The plot is pretty complicated, so if the movie follows the book I would guess the movie will be confusing to most people (so many flashbacks!). I’ve already got tickets to see Watchmen this weekend in IMAX, I hope it’s a good use of 2 hours and 43 minutes. At the very least the visual effects will look badass on a 65 foot screen.

As we all know, Batman is a vigilante who beats up clowns while wearing his underwear outside of his pants. Thus he is the perfect subject for a first grade reading book.

The dialog is adapted pretty well, but the story ends up being a cliched Joker bank robbery. I was hoping Bane would get all juiced up and break Batman’s spine over his knee while Ra’s al Ghul genocided the people of the world by spreading biological weapons throughout the atmosphere.
