I love this piece by Chopin, so I’ve decided to share my performance of it played with an iPhone game called PianoMan. The game is glitchy, sometimes the notes get messed up. The one time I play it without missing a note the game glitches on the last note of the first ascent, I was so mad. Also check out my world record breaking performance of Turkish March. I have the #1 score in the world in front of all the Japanese and Korean guys, they hate me so much.
The best Flash game ever, Auditorium, is now available for iPhone. You can play it on your computer for free by visiting playauditorium.com. Auditorium is a unique game, a musical puzzle, and translates nicely to the iPhone’s touch controls. It’s hard to describe, just go play it, and if you want to play it on your iPhone then try the free demo or buy it for $3.
You have to direct the energy into the rectangles to win. Each rectangle adds to the beautiful harmony.
The game progresses in difficulty as multiple colors are added, then black wholes and other modifiers.
Ya so as you can see in the comments I have this app and I can confirm its awesomity. You can freestyle into the mic and it comes out perfectly auto-tuned. Apparently there are an ass-ton of YouTube videos based on this premise.

Michael Jackson died today. This is very sad because he was a musical genious, evidenced by the fact that he composed the music for Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Let’s all remember how great his music was and how it made Sonic the Hedgehog 3 sound awesome and not dwell too much about how he was a giant weirdo.
This short mix shows how the MJ’s Who Is It played at high speed sounds exactly like the Ice Caps level music.
Jackson was hired to compose the sound track because he was a big fan of Sonic . It makes sense though right? Jackson would be a fan of a childs game, because he loved playing child games on his Neverland ranch. He eagerly composed songs for every world in the game. Before the game was completed, his scandals about child molestation became public, so Sega covered up his involvement. For more details check out Sega-16’s thourough investigation.

A Rock Band game for Beatles music comes out 9/09/09. It’s going to be awesome because it’ll take you on a musical journey through the history of Beatles music. It will also include never before released tracks. What’s more awesome is it works with my existing Rock Band instruments so I don’t have to buy the $250 bundle. Music games keep getting more and more expensive. Games should not be more expensive than consoles! Is it so expensive because it introduces a keyboard instrument to the franchise? Maybe.
Rigopulos refused to give a definitive answer on whether Rock Band 3 will support a keyboard controller, settling on a “maybe.”
This concludes my 3-part roundup of the best iPhone apps. I skillfully narrowed it down to only 42 apps. If you don’t see an app you think I should mention, or a broken link please leave a comment.
Similar to LOLCats, this app displays funny cat pictures from icanhascheezburger.com. Also includes other great funny pictures such as I Has A Hotdog!, FAIL Blog, and Engrish Funny. These two apps have duplicate functionality, but hey you can never have too many pictures of funny cats.
With this app, every time you jump with your iPhone, motion detection will cue the sound effect of Mario jumping from Super Mario Bros.(NES). Complete awesome!
There are other free pianos, but this is the only one to fit two full octaves on the screen with large enough keys to be playable. Those other one octave pianos are silly, what the hell song are you gonna play with only one octave?
An awesome collection of Oriental Flute, Eastern Bells, and Rock Guitar. The guitar kinda sucks but you can make some sweet melodies with the flute and bells.
What better song to play on Cat Piano than the Meow Mix theme song? You know, from those cat food commercials. Mitsy and Ajax heard the meowing and came to investigate and Mitsy adds some of her own meows.
Maybe I’ll become a professional iPhone pianist. I’m well on my way, I recently downloaded Piano Man from the app store. It’s like Guitar Hero but for the Piano, Piano Hero! It’s got some sweet songs like Holst’s Jupiter, Mozart’s Turkish March, and some Beethoven and Bach. Here’s my audition:
There are some really great musical instrument apps for the iPhone. The touch screen has great response and can recognize up to 5 seperate touches at once. There are a bunch of great free piano apps like FreePiano, a drum set called DigiLite, and a flute/guitar collection called Noise Trio. But my favorite musical instrument on the app store combines my two favorite things, meows and pianos.
